FROM THE SOUTH - M1 and AND A1(M)
Travel North on the M1 or A1(M). Look for signs to York leading eventually to A64 York exit. Travel East on the A64 until the A1237 York (West) turning. Continue a few miles and over several roundabouts until the A19 roundabout, take the 3rd exit towards York. **Continue for 2 miles until you reach York City Centre (Bootham Bar straight ahead) turn right and at the next set of traffic lights turn left onto Duncombe Place. The hotel is on the left opposite the York Minster.
FROM THE NORTH Via A1(M)
Take A59 (Junction 47) follow signs to York. Turn left to the A1237. Take the 2nd roundabout Rawcliffe/Clifton (A19) then follow ** as above.
FROM LEEDS - via the A64
Travel east on the A64. Take the A1237 (York North and Thirsk). Continue for a few miles following the signs to Thirsk A19. At the A1237/A19 Rawcliffe roundabout take the 3rd exit towards York. then follow ** as above.
FROM SELBY VIA A19
Take FULFORD signs from A64 into York. At first roundabout go straight over. At 2nd go straight ahead following City Centre signs. Continue on road (past Mecca Bingo and Novotel) Then at next roundabout take 2nd exit. Follow road eventually croossing the river. At 2nd lights after river turn right. Then at next lights turn left. At the bend at the at top of this incline get into right hand lane to turn right at next lights. After these lights immediately move over to the left lane and turn left at next lights (you've actually turned back on yourself in this one way system) which will take you over Lendal Bridge. Go straight through the next lights and the Hotel is on the left just before the Minster.
FROM YORK RAILWAY STATION
Turn left out of the station. Go through the first set of traffic lights (after the pedestrian crossing) then move into the left hand lane. At the next set turn left and go over Lendal bridge. At the traffic lights go straight ahead. The Hotel is on the left just before the York Minster.
