Stars of film and television, dance and music turned out for a glittering gala evening to support the annual Yorkshire Ballet Summer School in York.
The two-week residential school is held in the city every summer to give world-class training and ballet-school sponsorships to promising young dancers from around Yorkshire and the north.
The fundraising gala show at York's Grand Opera House was hosted by Sir Derek Jacobi and former director of The Royal Ballet, Sir Anthony Dowell, and featured stars including James Bond's Miss Moneypenny, Samantha Bond, comedian Ronnie Corbett, dancer Wayne Sleep and several big names from the West End.
And then it was off to York's Dean Court Hotel for an after-show party where Bill Hearld photographed cast and sponsors relaxing after a job well done.
